Stars personally autographed and tailored a gift bag which will be auctioned online to benefit Children's Hospital Los Angeles. From 10AM to 7PM, guests enjoyed beauty/spa services, refreshments and a luxury gift room.

Exfoliate and Moisturize with Eight Skincare Body Products.

We all want to be tan. Lying in the sun can cause sunburn, and long term effects of sunbathing can cause your skin to age prematurely and many times cause skin cancer. Tanning sprays or lotions seem to be the safe solution, but one of the worst side effects of self tanners is how drying these products are to the skin.  

So, if you are a self tanner like I am, then you deal with a little chemical called DHA or Dihydroxyactone which consistently leaves your skin dry.  

We all love to look golden in that cute little sundress or short skirt, but you also want your skin to look supple and hydrated.

How to be prepared for your self tanner:

• Exfoliate! Using the Eight Skincare Dry Skin Body Brush gets the dead skin off, which is a necessity if you want your tanner to work properly. Our dry skin brush is made with a natural sisal bristle. It is designed to gently and effectively remove the top layer of dead skin cells and deeply cleanse the pores.

• Moisturize your skin. In the shower or bath, you want to cleanse your body with a moisturizing crème body wash. The 10 essentials oils in our crème body wash moisturizes and nourishes dry skin. Remember the objective is to have a hydrated body before using a spray on the tanner.

• After lightly towel drying, apply Eight Body Moisture — a luxurious blend of natural and essential ingredients to hydrate and nourish your body.  

Now you are ready to apply your self tanner. By using Eight Skincare products, you will find that the tanner goes on much smoother and does not streak. (of course that does depend on the brand of tanner you use)

If you happen to visit Japan, live in Japan or are close to the Japanese culture, then you might have heard this phrase more than once… especially if you have beautiful, smooth skin. This is the highest compliment a woman can receive. “Nuka Bijin” means “a rice bran beauty.”
